Conduent rapidly transformed a corporate-wide, content-heavy instructor-led training (ILT) course into virtual, blended, collaborative learning on Knowledge Connection, Conduent’s multi-featured, cloud-based online learning platform at rapid web development tool. The solution needed to address learning and communication for the client's sales and marketing force because of the transition to remote work due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The challenge
As workplace transitions to remote working environments were occurring in 2020 due to COVID-19, Conduent agreed to quickly convert the client's corporate-wide, content heavy instructor-led training (ILT) sales training course into a multi-featured, virtual and collaborative learning format Knowledge Connection, Conduent’s cloud-based rapid web development tool and online Learning Platform. The client had an 8-week timeframe for the learning transformation.
The solution
Knowledge Connection was pivotal in advancing program concepts remotely across a larger audience rapidly through its innovative delivery and program distribution framework, user-friendly content creation tools, competence assessment systems, rules-based assignment and tracking, distribution capabilities and extended communication features. Several core capabilities of Knowledge Connection were critical aspects of the solution:
- The ability to assign pre-work activities by enrollment type
- The ability to create a highly customized landing page to distribute program resources such as videos, workbooks, discovery tools, audio books, and general resources
- The ability to rapidly create self-paced blended learning pathways a range of content types as well as virtual peer-to-peer discussion and live instructor coaching sessions
- Tracking and reporting for each learning activity that allowed management to assess participant progress in real-time
- Insights in the instructor dashboard that helped instructors identify opportunities for one participant to mentor another in real-time
The results
Six months after program launch, the Knowledge Connection analytics showed:
- A growing number of new users in each month
- The audience on a whole was equally or more engaged with the content than before the transformation, and was continuing to grow
- Adoption by several roles, including by sales leadership, was significantly greater than expected
