Conduent created experiential learning and reinforcement spaced over time in a blended learning program, with an action checklist, eLearning, several highly interactive vILT modules, reflection worksheets, observation checklists, selfie-video activities, and a coach and buddy system for accountability and feedback. This program also features a microsite for performance support and online discussion. Results included travel cost savings and scalability, compared to earlier approaches to teaching this content.

The challenge
The client wanted an highly engaging and accountable virtual learning program that aligned with their certification requirements for ongoing workforce training. The certification requirements included the ability to apply the knowledge in specific ways.
The solution
Conduent designed and developed a blended experiential learning program that requires learners to take responsibility. Learners must follow all the steps on the action checklist, including assignments between vILT modules. Because learners must apply the knowledge and receive in many different ways over the course of several weeks, they become well versed in it, well prepared for certification, and ready to use it on the job.
The result
The client was able to more easily and reliably get employees certified. Because the program is entirely virtual, the client saw considerable cost savings compared to in-person training. The program is much more easily scaled and repeated than the previous certification programs.
