The challenge

The client's first leadership and management training program was launched in 1962. However, the training program was not keeping pace with the rapid growth experienced over the years due to the large population of managers and executives, over 30,000 individuals. Plus, the client's traditional, instructor-led delivery format reached only around 40% of the target population. They needed help to complete an overhaul of the program and redesign it to meet the 21st century requirements of the business.

The solution

Conduent Learning Solutions began the redesign with a global leadership development needs analysis. From that analysis, a complete architecture was created, including a multi-modal curriculum, measurement strategy, and delivery and execution plan across all five management levels at the company. Conduent developed the following: a learning roadmap for executives and staff managers, a business simulation for executives, and an orientation to development ILT for supervisors and managers.

The results

Conduent trained the entire management population of approximately 37,000. This resulted in a ten-point uptick in EOS Career Development, more than 17 projects delivered on time and on budget, and the client being ranked 55th in Training Magazine’s Top 125.
